It was announced this month that Core Media has appointed Gary Bampton to the newly created position of Head of Operations. 
 
Gary joins Core Media from Realex Payments where he spent four years, most recently as ‘Head of Operations of Worldwide E-Commerce’. 
 
Prior to this, Gary spent seven years with Elavon, a global payments provider company, working across a variety of commercial and operational roles, including ‘Head of Irish and UK Operations’. While with the company, Gary also created a European business retention function and also established a new pan-European Customer Account Management division.
 
In his new role, Gary will direct and coordinate the business operations of Core Media to maximise excellence and efficiency across the group at all times. Core Media consists of nine individual marketing and communications agencies – Mediavest, Mediaworks, Starcom, Zenith, Core Knowledge, Engage Communications, Livewire, Ignite and Radical – and employs 293 people.
 
Core Media has been voted Agency Network of the Year for the last five years at the Media Awards and the company was also recently voted one of the top workplaces in Ireland by the Great Place to Work Institute for the eighth year running.
