It was announced today that IP Telecom, an Irish owned company which offers first class telephony solutions to companies in Ireland and across the world via its own VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) network, has appointed Shena Brien as their Chief Executive Officer.   
 
A Co-Founder of the company, Shena established IP Telecom in 2010 with a team of highly experienced telecommunications professionals.

The company is Ireland’s only dedicated VOIP provider for Enterprise and SME customers, offering both hosted PBX and SIP Trunk solutions. With over 20,000 end point users across 2,000 businesses in Ireland, the company has invested significantly in developing its own cloud based telephone system to ensure it can provide excellent call quality, customer service and technical consultancy at all times.
 
Prior to establishing IP Telecom, Shena was the Network Operations Manager with Magnet Networks, where she managed a team of Network Engineers and Technical Support Engineers in implementing network upgrades and maintenance for over 100 DSL Exchanges and RF Wireless sites. 
 
She has worked in the Irish, UK and wider European telecommunications industry for 27 years. Before moving into operational roles, she designed and managed multinational networks across EMEA and, with a background in Network Engineering, established technical specifications for product development and implementation processes for large network deployments and logistics projects.
