It was announced this week that Permanent TSB Group has appointed Ger Mitchell as Group HR Director. Ger succeeds Tony Hession who retired at the end of April.
 
A member of the Permanent TSB Executive Team (ExCo) since 2013, Ger led the Bank’s return to lending which played an important part in the 2015 re-IPO of the Group. 

During his career, Ger has held various roles in Branch Banking, Product Management and Marketing.  Ger has an MBS in Strategy & Strategic Human Resource Management. He is currently leading the Group’s Mortgage Product Review Group (MPRG) initiative and will continue to sponsor the work to a conclusion.
 
Speaking this week, Jeremy Masding, Group Chief Executive, welcomed Ger’s appointment: “Ger has been an outstanding performer in each of the roles in which he has served.  He knows the bank inside out and will play a key part in shaping the Bank’s future development and capability building as we sharpen our focus on the commercial agenda.”
