Michael Cogley joins the Ireland edition of The Times from the Irish Independent, where he was based in the newsroom. Michael previously worked in Newstalk FM and South East Radio and was the Editor of Dublin City University newspaper.

Ronan and Michael will be joining an experienced Irish team of 30 full-time and freelance journalists.

Welcoming the new team members, Editor of the Ireland edition of The Times, Richard Oakley said, "Ronan and Michael will be fantastic assets to the Ireland edition of The Times. They both have a proven track record in well researched journalism and we are delighted to welcome them to the team. This recent expansion shows the commitment we have made to our news and sports coverage and as the edition continues to grow and develop, it’s our intention to continue to add to the team."
