Sharon Murphy has been announced as the new Deputy Chief Executive of Wilson Hartnell.

Having joined Wilson Hartnell in 2000, Sharon has played a leading role in developing the company’s consumer business across a wide range of Irish and international clients from FMCG to retail, technology to banking, utilities to semi-state.

Sharon joined the WH management team at the age of 27. A year later, she was appointed to the company’s board and took on the leadership of the consumer practice in 2008.

Wilson Hartnell Chief Executive Brian Bell said that while continuing to lead the company’s fast-growing Consumer Practice, Sharon will now take on responsibility for further developing and growing the company’s offer across Creative, Content, Social and Planning.

“We have identified a number of new areas for growing our business and Sharon will be to the forefront in ensuring we have the right strategy, resources and talent to fully exploit those opportunities," he said.

"This is a really important and exciting appointment for the company given its current size and market leadership position and a massive endorsement of WH’s ability to develop our own leaders."
