Waterman Tecsar Engineering Alliance will create 100 new jobs over the next three years as the team announced a major expansion of its Irish operations.

Waterman Tecsar Engineering Alliance was established after two engineering companies, one based in Canada and another in Ireland formed a plan to expand into Europe, providing industrial engineering services.

Collaboration

Tecsar Engineering Inc. has been operating in Canada for over 45 years and already employs more than 100 people.

Waterman Consulting Engineers was established in 1996 with an office on Union Quay in Cork City.

Conor MacSweeney of Tecsar Engineering approached Eric Waterman of Waterman Consulting and the two businesses officially aligned at the end of 2023.

'Same Principles'

"Both companies shared the same principles of client first with preparation being key to the success of every project we undertake," said Business Lead at Waterman Tecsar Engineering, Conor MacSweeney.

"I am really looking forward to expanding our services both in Canada, USA, and Ireland but also in Europe which I believe will be a strong possibility thanks to this union.”

Opportunities

The new positions will be in a range of engineering fields including Process Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Civil Structural Engineering.

The hiring process has already begun with 25 engineers working at the new Cork office which is located just off the Bandon Road Roundabout.
