Wisetek Solutions Ltd has this week announced the opening of its new Operations Center in Austin, Texas, with Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Heather Humphreys, TD and Julie Sinnamon CEO of Enterprise Ireland.

The Cork based company provides services in advanced used IT asset disposal and secure data destruction services. Wisetek U.S.A. operations are headquartered in Maryland with other operational centres located in Massachusetts and California. The Austin location will initially hire over 25 new employees and numbers are expected to grow well beyond that.

The announcement follows-on Wisetek’s merger in November 2017, of its USA operations with Computer Discounters Inc. (CDI) which trades under the Wisetek DataKillers brand. It marks a further expansion for the company, which has existing facilities in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Speaking this week, CEO of Wisetek, Sean Sheehan said, "We are delighted to have welcomed Minister Humphreys to mark the official opening of our facility in Austin. Her presence is appropriate as we have received significant support from Enterprise Ireland, which has been important to us as we look to scale up our business in international markets."
