TheKeyCollection.ie, an Irish owned hotels, apartments and guest house management company run by Dublin business women Nina Gillett and Sheila O’Riordan, has acquired long-term leases for two boutique hotels in Kensington, London – The Exhibitionist and The Gainsborough.
The business women plan to manage and operate the hotels as part of their company’s growth strategy into the UK market.
The luxury boutique Exhibitionist Hotel is located opposite the Natural History Museum, in the heart of South Kensington. It was restored in 2015, to combine original design and contemporary finishes including bespoke furnishings. The hotel features eight galleries with frequently changing pieces of art work displayed by internationally renowned artists. Close by are the V&A Museum, the Science Museum, The Albert Hall, and the upmarket shopping of Knightsbridge, Sloane Street, Harvey Nichols and Harrods.
The Gainsborough is a converted Victorian house with a classic style and an informal atmosphere. It is named after the celebrated artist whose portrait of the Duchess of Richmond is in the spacious lounge/reception. A complete refurbishment plan is in place for the building. It is close to London's museums, the Albert Hall, Harrods and the restaurants and shops of Chelsea and Knightsbridge.
TheKeyCollection.ie was launched by Nina Gillett and Sheila O’Riordan in 2016 to provide an overarching brand which focuses on the management of a wide selection of properties including hotels, apartments and guest houses.
Since the brand launched two years ago, it has grown rapidly and has a dedicated and committed team of almost 300 customer focused employees across all its properties and its head office, which is based in Dublin.
Speaking this week, Sheila O’Riordan said, "The London hotel market is strong and operating two new hotel properties such as The Exhibitionist and The Gainsborough which are a perfect fit for theKeyCollection.ie is very exciting. Our mission is to provide our guests with great places to stay in fabulous locations. Our aim is to continue to explore all opportunities to grow, expand and diversify our company both in Ireland and the UK."
