A new Irish-owned dental group has acquired 11 dental practices nationwide, creating 30 jobs and introducing a brand new concept to dentistry in Ireland.
Dental Care Ireland will officially open its first practice this month in Ashbourne, Co. Meath. Since its establishment in 2015, Dental Care Ireland has embarked on a rapid programme of acquisition. Now with an annual turnover of €10 million, it is on track to reach its target of 15 practices by 2018.
The focus of the business model is to free principal dentists from administrative burden, allowing them to focus on clinical dentistry. Dental Care Ireland invests in upgrading the practices with latest facilities and technology while providing support in operations, finance, quality and compliance, IT, HR and marketing.
To date, the group employs 150 staff across 11 general and specialist dental practices in Dublin (Cabinteely, Knocklyon, Swords, Ballsbridge); Meath (Ashbourne, Navan, Kells); Carlow; Castlebar, Co. Mayo; Tullamore, Co. Offaly and Callan, Co. Kilkenny.
Chief Executive of Dental Care Ireland, Colm Davitt says, "What sets us apart is the fact that all of our dentists are established, local practitioners with a loyal patient base. We add to that level of quality by ensuring the latest facilities for patients, introducing new services and providing added convenience in terms of both local access and better opening hours. Our vision is to provide a network of quality dental practices in every single county over the next five to ten years."
