Irish mortgage arrears fell for a sixth successive quarter according to Investec.

Referencing the latest Mortgage Arrears and Repossessions release from the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI), they claim that there has been a sixth successive quarterly reduction in industry-wide mortgage arrears in the fourth quarter of 2014.

The release also shows that lenders were in possession of 2,223 residential properties at the end of 2014 (versus 2,027 in Q3 2014), which equates to circa 0.1% of the total housing stock. Lenders disposed of 436 properties during the final three months of last year.
