A nationwide recruitment campaign has just been launched to fill over 1700 event-work roles throughout Ireland over the Summer months.

Excel Recruitment reported one of its biggest Open Day turnouts ever last week, as approximately 700 job seekers attended for the chance to secure jobs in some of the biggest events   taking place over the next 3 – 4 months.

Permanent And Contract Roles

The recruiters are looking for candidates to fill both permanent and contract positions in over 1,100 roles in Dublin, more than 250 in Cork, and 400 across events taking place between Kildare and Galway.

Some of the popular events that attending the Open Day were hoping to bag as a summer job include the Trinity Summer Series - which features headline acts such as Texas and Madness, the Royal Hospital Kilmainham concerts - which will see Noel Gallagher and Tiesto take to the stage, the Biggest Disco festival in Punchestown, the Fairview Park concerts, the Taste of Dublin festival and Pride, amongst others.

Nationwide Summer Events

The recruitment specialists are welcoming all applicants who are interested in working at one of the nationwide summer events to register, as long as they are over the age of 18.

'All Levels Of Experience'

“We need large volumes of bar staff, but also kitchen staff, event stewards, cleaners, security, and facilities personnel," said Director of Excel Recruitment, Shane McLave. "The nature of the work means that the hours can be flexible, and short and long contracts are on offer - a setup which is often very attractive to Ireland’s student population."

He added, "That said, it’s not only students who can secure some work for the summer – we are recruiting people with all levels of experience. Ireland has the talented hard-working workforce needed to bolster these events and to ensure we maintain the standards that Ireland is renowned for when it comes to live arts and entertainment."
