BoyleSports acquires outlets from Bambury Leinster

Ireland’s largest independent bookmaker, BoyleSports has agreed to acquire a chain of outlets from Bambury Leinster.

Founded in 1980 by Jimmy and Barbara Finlay, the chain services the Greater Dublin area including Kildare and Meath.

The transaction will see BoyleSports acquire nine Bambury shops at Sallins and Clane (two units), County Kildare, at Ashbourne (two units) and Clonee, County Meath and at Lusk, Swords and Lucan in County Dublin. All of the 31 staff employed at each of the nine outlets will transfer to BoyleSports.

Subject to approval from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, BoyleSports will rebrand all nine outlets.

Founder and Chief Executive of BoyleSports, John Boyle said, "Jimmy Finlay and his family have built up a great business in Leinster with Bambury. We look forward to welcoming Bambury customers to BoyleSports where, as well as having access to the widest range of betting opportunities in the most comfortable surroundings they can be assured of getting the best prices in the industry."
