Celtic Pure Irish Spring Water recently announced plans to expand into the Asian market. Celtic Pure Irish Spring Water have built a small presence in China via one distribution agreement and will take 24 container loads this year, increasing to 100 load orders by 2019. The company hopes China will become a €1 million market by 2020.

While Ireland remains the company’s largest market, the award-winning water has branched overseas, with current sales in the UK and the US, and planned sales in other mainland European markets — the Netherlands, Germany, and Scandinavia later this year.

The family company, based in Co. Monaghan, plan to increase their sales by 20-25% this year and next, with revenues up 30% in 2017. Over €12 million has been invested in transforming the company since 2012 resulting in increased production capacity from 120 million bottles to 250 million bottles per annum.
