Hammerson has announced that fresh handmade cosmetics brand Lush will open its biggest store in Ireland at Dundrum Town Centre.

The new store, which measures 2,311 sq ft and is creating 25 new job roles, is due to open in the run up to Christmas, as it strategically expands across Ireland. Lush, which is synonymous for pioneering beauty products such as the fizzing bath bomb, is a high-street brand for fresh cosmetics, skincare and gifts.

Established over 27 years ago, Lush becoming beauty product pioneers through the creation of the fizzing bath bomb, shower jellies and solid shampoo bars, all using fresh ingredients such as organic fruits and vegetables.

The brand fights tirelessly against animal testing and operates a comprehensive Ethical Buying department, developing fair and direct trade initiatives. It has also played a strong role in the industry battle on over-packaging, developing products that can be sold ‘naked’ to consumers whilst running various public awareness campaigns.

Speaking this week, Head of UK&I Property at Lush, Ellen Peters said, "We’re thrilled to be opening our 4th Irish shop before Christmas this year. With a trading area of 130sqm it will be double the size of our current largest store in Ireland and will be home to our full range of Fresh Handmade Cosmetics. Our goal is always to ‘leave the world Lusher than we found it’ and when fitting out shops, we utilise the same values as when sourcing ingredients for our products, working closely with suppliers to source durable and ethical materials."
