Low cost Irish gym chain FLYEfit is to invest €10 million opening four new super gyms with the creation of 120 new jobs as it responds to the new era of hybrid working and unprecedented demand from customers who have taken up exercise during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The first of the four new 20,000 sq. ft. super gyms will open at Dublin’s Northside Shopping later this month as FLYEfit celebrates 10 years in business. The next three gyms to come will also open in Dublin and their location in the city centre, northside and southside of the city will be revealed over the coming months.
FLYEfit opened its first gym in 2011 and currently operates 16 gyms in city and suburban locations, attracting thousands of members of all ages. FLYEfit has also announced that it is celebrating its 10th birthday by removing its €25 joining fee for 10 days from October 15th - 25th inclusive. Anyone joining at this time can simply choose to pay €29 per month or €259 annually to access any one gym, or €32 per month and €299 to access all FLYEfit gyms.
Commenting on the expansion, a FLYEfit spokesperson said, "FLYEfit's expansion strategy is focused on strengthening our presence in cities and expanding into suburban areas. We have aligned that with industry trends such as the boom in running and cycling and invested in immersive equipment to help members to take their newfound hobbies and interest in fitness to the next level."
