Greenroom Investments has today celebrated the official launch of its first offering –European Solar Fund I.
The new venture is brought about by the same people behind the hugely successful Renewable Energy firm Solar21 and is one of the first in Ireland to secure authorisation from the Central Bank of Ireland as an ICAV (Irish Collective Asset-management Vehicle) – a new corporate vehicle for Irish funds which was signed into law by the President earlier this year.
Experts at Greenroom Investments say that the company is unlike anything the Irish investment market has seen before – a positive disruptor to benefit investors.
It is their contention that Greenroom Investments is different because it is firmly aligned with investor interests over the full term of the investment.
The company offers investors a target gross annual return of 8.5% over a period of 8 years and the opportunity to access these returns through a structure such as the ICAV which has been the exclusive reserve of large institutional investors - until now.
Speaking at the launch Michael Bradley, Director of Greenroom Investments and CEO of Solar 21, "Greenroom Investments was created in response to demand for the expertise of our contracted investment consultancy Solar 21, a Dublin-based company specialising in the acquisition and management of renewable energy assets in Europe.
"The creation of Greenroom Investments recognises and provides a mechanism for qualifying Irish investors to access attractive returns generated from renewable energy direct investments."
