It was announced today that KBC’s popular student offer returns for a third year running, giving students the chance to receive €100 when they open a Student Current Account with KBC Bank.
The offer works by giving student customers €40 on account opening and the remaining €60 when the student makes at least 10 debit card transactions and activates their online banking before the end of the year.
KBC’s Student Current Account offers free day to day banking which means no account maintenance or transaction fees to worry about. KBC Students also receive a contactless debit card which can be used to make free “tap and go” contactless transactions up to €30.
The KBC Student Mobile team will be visiting college locations around the country for the month of September, helping students to apply for a Current Account on the spot, making the process more convenient and expedient for them.
To qualify for KBC’s new offer, students simply need to apply for a new KBC Student Current Account online, by phone, at any of KBC’s 15 hubs in towns and cities around the country or digitally through the KBC Student Mobile team.
Director of Retail Products at KBC Bank Ireland, Eddie Dillon said, "This can be an expensive time of year for students and their families, between finding accommodation, and paying for course fees and materials. KBC’s Student Current Account offers students a cash boost of €100 to help out with the cost of college at the start of the new term, combined with free banking to give students better long-term value on banking throughout their studies."
