KPMG announces plans to create 800 Irish jobs in 2020

It was announced yesterday that KPMG will create 400 new positions in 2020 with a further 400 graduate opportunities available across all disciplines including audit & assurance, tax consulting, deal advisory and consulting.

The firm says Cybersecurity, digital and data analytics are amongst the technology related skills required of KPMG by Irish business as well as expertise in sustainability and decarbonisation. Additional opportunities in traditional parts of the business including Tax Consulting, Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, Regulatory Advisory, Consulting, Restructuring and Forensics.

KPMG is Ireland’s single largest professional services firm and has experienced sustained revenue and employment growth for several consecutive years. Revenues for 2018 were €414m, and headcount has increased by 70% from 2,000 in 2014 to over 3,400 at the start of 2020. 

Speaking yesterday, Managing Partner at KPMG in Ireland, Seamus Hand said, "The challenges of rapid technological change and greater regulation are among the key drivers for success in Irish business and are reflected in the increased demand for our services and the roles we’re looking to fill."
