Mazars has officially opened its new Galway office and announced that it will create up to 30 new jobs over a three-year period, doubling the headcount of the office from 30 to 60.
The Global audit, tax and advisory firm first established in Galway in 2004 and its new office, spanning 6,000 sq. feet, is located at Mayoralty House in Galway city. The office move has come as a response to continued growth within the business and recruitment has begun to fill the new positions in outsourced accounting business.
The new internationally focused outsourced accounting services centre will provide services to companies and builds on the firm’s existing outsourced business unit which is based in Dublin. It is hoped this new Galway based unit will enhance the firm’s overall capabilities and service offerings on the western seaboard of Ireland.
These additions bring the total number of Mazars Ireland staff to over 400 in Limerick, Galway and Dublin. Mazars Ireland is part of a single international integrated partnership of over 20,000 professionals in 86 countries.
Welcoming the announcement today, Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Heather Humphreys said, "I am delighted to see Mazars open a new office in Galway. Mazars is one of the top accounting firms in the world and I am pleased to see them increase their presence in the West. Ireland is now a world leader in professional services and many of the top companies in this sector are based here."
Managing Partner at Mazars, Mark Kennedy added, "Mazars Ireland is one of the fastest growing professional services firms and the further expansion of our Galway operation is testament to our work and the services we provide as a business. Earlier this year we announced the continued growth of our Limerick business and I am delighted to see the Galway office enjoying similar success."
