It was announced today that Supermacs has signed a major new dual fuel energy supply deal with Energia. The deal will see Energia provide 20 GWhrs of electricity each year to power all of Supermacs Group’s Irish restaurants. Covering over 100 restaurants across Ireland, the deal also includes the supply of gas to the restaurant chain.
Energia has a 26% market share of the Irish business electricity and gas market supplying the energy needs of over 60,000 business customers. In addition to renewable assets, the company also operates a 750MW gas fired power station in north Dublin.
