Ireland’s largest careers fair, Jobs Expo, is taking place in Cork today. The event takes place at Clayton Hotel Silver Springs between 12pm and 7pm and features employers from a variety of sectors. These include ICT, medtech, healthcare, hospitality and retail, amongst others.

Exhibitors include multinationals such as BD Medical, Eurofins and McDonald’s as well as leading Irish employers, Adare Manor, Aspira, PhoneWatch and Peter Mark. Also in attendance will be the Government of the Isle of Man, who will showcase the variety of career opportunities on the island.

In addition, US Immigration Attorney Caro Kinsella returns to advise attendees on how to obtain a US Visa to work in the USA.

Jobs Expo Cork has taken place twice-yearly at Clayton Hotel Silver Springs since 2012 and brings thousands of job opportunities to Cork each year. As well as companies recruiting at the event, there will be a series of talks from industry insiders at Jobs Expo’s Seminar Zone.

Talks include opportunities with Aspira, FIT’s Software Development Apprenticeship Style Programme and working in the USA. The Seminar Zone is free-of-charge to all attendees on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Furthermore, organisers will provide free career advice to the general public via the Career Clinic. Over the course of the day, jobseekers will be able to meet one-on-one with career development coaches. The coaches will offer expert professional development advice as well as help jobseekers land their dream job.

Speaking ahead of the event, Event Organiser, Bronagh Cotter said, "At Jobs Expo Cork we have employers looking for highly skilled professionals, but also those looking for students, recent graduates and even mothers returning to work. We also have opportunities for people looking to retrain, upskill or even completely change career direction."
