It was announced today that Ulster Bank is to host ‘Switching Saturdays’ to help new customers switch their accounts to Ulster Bank.

The Ulster Bank Current Account has just a €4 monthly maintenance fee for customers with no day-to-day transaction fees.

The Ulster Bank Current Account has a number of key features that offer meaningful help, for example, if you lose your wallet, leave your debit card at home or need to make a swift repayment to family or friends.

The new service will allow customers to withdraw cash from an Ulster Bank or EasyCash cash machine without a debit card, using a code provided via the app and emergency cash – where customers can withdraw up to €300 (up to €60 otherwise), upon cancellation of a debit card if it has been lost or stolen.

Potential customers who are looking to switch bank accounts can avail of these ‘Switching Saturdays’ where Ulster Bank staff will be on hand to help make switching easy. Existing customers can also lodge and withdraw cash, collect foreign currency and make appointments to discuss finance options all on a Saturday.

Twenty four of the bank’s branches across the country are open from 10am to 1pm on Saturdays.

Director of Customer Experience and Products at Ulster Bank, Maeve McMahon says, "This campaign is all about providing people with help for the everyday. We appreciate that people have busy, action packed lives and the Ulster Bank Current Account is designed to fit in with that. It keeps banking simple so customers don’t need to worry about day-to-day transaction fees, its straightforward – a €4 monthly maintenance fee."

She added, "This current account offering along with the new addition of ‘Switching Saturdays’ is bringing us one step closer to realising our ambition to be the number one bank for customer service, trust and advocacy by 2020."
