Virgin Media customers in Ireland will be able to watch all their favourite Netflix shows seamlessly on the TV using their Netflix subscription on Virgin Media’s Horizon TV service, it was announced yesterday.

The Netflix app is now ready to roll on Virgin Media’s Horizon TV service at the flick of a button on channels 999 and 300. Other than your standard monthly Netflix subscription fee, there’s no extra cost. Non Netflix customers will also be able to sign up to the Virgin Media service through the app.

Ireland will be the first country to introduce Netflix to customers as part of Liberty Global’s new partnership with Netflix which will lead to the roll out of the app to customers in more than 30 countries around the world.

Vice President at Virgin Media, Paul Farrell says, "We’re thrilled to bring Netflix straight to our customers and right on time for Christmas. Netflix has consistently ranked Virgin Media as the Number 1 network to watch Netflix on in Ireland. Our customers recognise that great entertainment needs the fastest broadband and we’re constantly improving the connected entertainment experience for them in their homes."
