It was announced today that POCO by Pippa, the fashion retailer founded by Pippa O’Connor Ormond, will open at Mahon Point Shopping Centre in Cork on Friday 4 August. The new store will create 16 part-time jobs.

The letting was secured by Savills Marketing Commercialisation and Research (SMCR) - a division established by Savills Ireland to add value for landlords by identifying opportunities to generate additional income streams outside of their usual rental income.

Following a successful six-week pop-up at Dundrum Town Centre in Dublin, POCO will occupy a 4,000 square foot space for 4 weeks at Mahon Point Shopping Centre, Cork.

Mahon Point Shopping Centre in Cork is Munster’s second largest shopping destination. The centre comprises of approximately 340,000 sq. ft. of retail space that is anchored by Debenhams and Tesco and a 13 screen Omniplex. Other tenants include Next, Zara, River Island, Tommy Hilfiger, Selected and many more.

POCO, which specialises in denim jean wear for women, was established in 2016. Throughout the store POCO by Pippa style advisors will be on hand to help customers choose the right denim and fit that suits them. Pippa herself will be hosting style clinics throughout the month in Mahon Point.

Speaking this week, Nicola Cogan of Savills Marketing Commercialisation and Research Division commented, "Pop-ups allow retailers to test the market, create brand awareness and ultimately drive sales. Pop-ups are especially popular with businesses operating online, allowing them the opportunity to interact with their customers face to face, strengthen sales and extend their market reach."
