It was announced today that the UK’s largest fashion retailer, the Arcadia Group, has agreed a deal with Savills and the Jervis Shopping Centre in Dublin to operate a new 20,000 square foot flagship Topshop / Topman store. Savills describe the deal as a "major retail coup for Dublin."

Set to open in summer 2017, the store will occupy a 20,000 sq.ft. unit over the ground and upper ground levels at the Jervis Shopping Centre. The deal represents the first new flagship store for the Arcadia Group in recent years and will, according to Savills, be a benchmark for Topshop / Topman stores in Ireland.

The Jervis Shopping Centre has been trading for 20 years and continues to attract the premier retailers from Ireland, Europe and the US. The centre extends to approximately 36,000 sq.m. and boasts in excess of 60 retail units and 750 car parking spaces.

Jervis Shopping Centre already houses a number of leading fashion retailers including Stradivarius, Bershka, Forever 21 and New Look.

The Arcadia Group began their main expansion into Ireland via high street and prime shopping malls in the late 1990’s. Since then, they have opened a number of units in numerous towns and cities throughout the country. Topshop and Topman are seen as one of the pillar mid-market fashion brands and have dedicated following throughout the world. This letting marks a major reinvestment into the brand in Ireland with the launch of this flagship store.

Speaking today, Darragh Cronin of letting agents, Savills, commented, "Jervis Shopping Centre is delighted to retain our relationship with the Arcadia Group and welcome the Topshop/Topman Flagship store into our already excellent mix of domestic, UK and European retailers."

He added, "Arcadia’s choice of Ireland and, in turn, Jervis, as its first new flagship store in recent years is an excellent vote of confidence for the Irish retail sector and confirms the resiliency of the Irish retail market. We will now be launching some of the neighbouring retail units on the ground floor which we are confident will lead to further exciting announcements.”
