Facebook is the most recommended tech company in Ireland according to one of the world’s largest jobs sites, Glassdoor.

The list is based on the input of current and former employees who have voluntarily reviewed their employer on Glassdoor in the past year. As part of the review process, Glassdoor users can select whether they would recommend their company to a friend, which produces a percentage rating displayed on the site.

According to the study, Ireland’s Most Recommended Tech Companies for 2017 are:

1. Facebook: Recommend to a friend rating: 96%
2. HubSpot: Recommend to a friend rating: 94%
3. Salesforce: Recommend to a friend rating: 89%
4. Google: Recommend to a friend rating: 87%
5. SAP: Recommend to a friend rating: 87%
6. LinkedIn: Recommend to a friend rating: 82%
7. VMware: Recommend to a friend rating: 81%
8. Microsoft: Recommend to a friend rating: 80%
9. Airbnb: Recommend to a friend rating: 78%
10. Intel: Recommend to a friend rating: 76%

Welcoming the result, International VP of HR at Facebook, Fiona Mullan said, "We’re delighted that Facebook has been named the most recommended tech company to work for, a result that is even more meaningful as it is based on employee feedback. A core tenet of Facebook is building a strengths-based company, in that we want people doing work they are good at and work they enjoy which gives employees a great sense of fulfilment."

She added, "We also work hard to create a culture that is open, social and inclusive. At Facebook, we have seen the way that our users use the products to build community, and we use it ourselves to build community internally."
