Snapchat usage in Ireland is higher per capita than all other countries worldwide according to a new report by Connector.

Connector is an award winning open innovation studio whose clients include Huawei, Sony, Just Eat, Benecol, Bord Bia, RTE and many more.

The report shows that Snapchat usuage for teens (16-19 year olds) has jumped to 83%.

Facebook remains the most popular platform in Ireland. It has the most members, the most contributors and is level with YouTube in terms of visitors.

The report find that there is a trend towards more ‘passive networking’, with 6 in 10 Facebookers saying they’ve logged in without posting / commenting on anything. Facebookers in Ireland are most likely to be clicking a “like” or “reaction” button – a behavior which is providing marketers with consistently more precise information about people’s likes and dislikes.

According to the report, the Irish Instagram community is hugely engaged with 59% using the app every day.
