The Carlton Hotel opened in July 2006 and comprises a modern purpose built 70 bedroom 4 star hotel, bar, restaurant, ballroom, leisure centre with a 20 metre swimming pool, spa and 19 x 3 bedroom holiday houses, all set on 89 acres overlooking Oysterhaven Bay. The Hotel is trading profitably and is a popular wedding venue hosting 99 weddings in 2014 with a similar amount of bookings expected for this year. The hotel was voted the best wedding Hotel in Co. Cork by Southern Brides Magazine in 2014. The function room has capacity for 200 guests and opens out to a large patio area with stunning views overlooking Oysterhaven Bay. It was placed on the market on behalf of joint Receivers Kieran Wallace, KPMG and Jim Stafford, Friel Stafford, Denis O'Donoghue and Chris O'Callaghan of Savills have been appointed to sell it.
