It was announced today that Affero Lab, a Rio de Janeiro headquartered e-learning company is establishing its European Operations Centre in Dublin.

The move will provide 40 highly skilled jobs, will focus on research and development, enhancing and developing the company’s technologies in the areas of adaptive learning, gamification, mobile learning and data analytics. Furthermore, the company will employ sales and support staff to support the company’s clients in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia.

CEO of IDA Ireland, Martin Shanahan said, "Ireland’s e-learning cluster, particularly in the indigenous sector, is renowned for its innovation and high quality output and Affero Lab will add significantly to this cluster.

I welcome the company’s participation in the Learnovate Centre, an industry-led centre of excellence for innovation and research in learning technologies, funded by IDA Ireland and Enterprise Ireland. Affero Lab is IDA Ireland’s first client from Brazil and I hope that the investment will act as a strong reference point for IDA as we work to attract more investment from this growth market."

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton added, "Today’s announcement that Affero Lab, a Brazilian e-learning company, is establishing its European operations centre in Dublin with the creation of 40 jobs is great news, and I wish Fabio and his team every success with this project."
