Ireland is still the fastest-growing economy in the euro area

Goodbody Stockbrokers have today released a report which shows that Ireland is on track to be the fastest-growing economy in the euro area for four years in a row in the period from 2014-2017.
 
No other country has ever achieved this.
 
The report shows that Irish economy experiencing its strongest growth in 15 years. Despite rather sluggish growth in the euro area, Ireland’s expansion is going from strength to strength. GDP growth of 6.6% is expected in 2015, followed by 4.5% and 3.8% in 2016 and 2017, respectively.

According to Goodbody Stockbrokers, "On our preferred measure of growth – core domestic demand – Ireland is forecast to grow by 5.4% in 2015, followed by 4.9% and 4.4% over the forecast period. As such, the expansion in Ireland is both real and broad-based."
