Work related anxiety is something that a lot of us suffer from, especially if we have a stressful job with a lot on our plates. However, if you don’t take small steps to target it before it gets really bad, it can build up and leave you unable to cope. It is a good idea to try and notice any warning signs that you may be becoming anxious or showing signs of deteriorating mental health. It is important that you address issues rather than suppressing them – having struggles related to work is not something to be ashamed of, so don’t feel the need to hide behind closed doors. Here are some tips that may help.

Spend an Hour Planning Your Week Ahead

One of the most straightforward ways to reduce your work-related anxiety is by spending a bit of time at the beginning of the week planning out your weekly activities and documenting them in a diary or a calendar, in order to ensure you stay focused on them. Even though this may just involve writing a list, this can have both real and placebo effects on your anxiety: simply knowing that you have a plan can be really reassuring and take a lot of pressure off your day and week. Once you have a visual representation of what needs to be done, you can tick off tasks as you go, giving you a sense of achievement when they are done.

Consider Taking Kratom

One way of reducing your work-related anxiety is through taking Kratom, which is a natural opioid and is increasingly being used to treat pain, anxiety and problems with sleeping. Once you have something that is relaxing you and your brain a bit, this can stop you overthinking about things and will help you feel more relaxed and logical when thinking through your day and your schedule. If it is being used for helping you to sleep, this will also help with your anxiety levels – feeling well rested and refreshed will allow you to feel as though your days are better spent. Take Regular Breaks Throughout the Day

Overloading yourself with hours of work at a time can lead to a build-up of thoughts and a bit of internal overstimulation, which is often what triggers anxiety. Why not try to split your working day into shorter periods of work, followed by a break where you can stretch your legs, have a snack or a glass of water and then resume having rested your brain a little? Even really little breaks can have such a huge effect on your work ethic and your stress levels – it can also act as a bit of a refreshment for your thoughts so you can go back and reconsider what you have done with new eyes.

Try and Incorporate a Mid-Day Walk

One of the easiest ways in which you can reduce anxiety is through exercise and this is something that you should aim to do during your working day, perhaps through a mid-day walk. Having fresh air and being outdoors is good for your physical health as well as your mental health, so this is a perfect way to split up your working day into two halves and not make it feel as long. If you ever feel like you are becoming more anxious through the day, taking a walk could be the best thing you do: put some headphones in and relax.

Anxiety is more common than you would imagine and it can really impact your overall mood and work ethic. However, changing small elements of your routine could be really beneficial.
