It was announced today that Minister for Education and Skills, Richard Bruton has inaugurated the European delivery centre of NIIT Limited in Dublin today.
NIIT is a Global company headquartered in India which provides multi-disciplinary learning management and training delivery solutions to corporations, institutions and individuals in over 40 countries.
NIIT’s Dublin centre of excellence is located at DCU ALPHA, a research-intensive innovation campus co-located with Dublin City University.
The centre will be at the heart of NIIT’s Europe operations and will provide managed training services to leading companies in Europe and North America.
NIIT’s Dublin operations have been initially set up with local new hires and NIIT will continue to invest in hiring over 100 local employees in the coming months.
NIIT will employ content developers, high-end engineers, creative writers, instructional designers, digital media professionals, trainers, multilingual customer service support professionals and project managers.
The NIIT has three main lines of business across the globe- Corporate Learning Group, Skills and Careers Group and School Learning Group.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Bruton, who has met senior NIIT executives in New Delhi on two previous trade missions said, "I am well aware from our meetings in New Delhi that NIIT is a world-leading company in its sector. I am delighted to visit DCU today to Inaugurate NIIT’S new office and I wish NIIT every success."
He added, "As Minister for Jobs, I visited India on three major trade missions and I have seen first-hand the amazing work being done by IDA and Enterprise Ireland in that market and the massive potential for attracting further investments and jobs to Ireland."
