Parcel Connect has signed a multi-million euro contract with Irish-based delivery management platform, Scurri.
The contract, which Parcel Connect has signed alongside its parent company, Fastway Couriers Ireland, will see Scurri facilitate the delivery of over €3.4bn worth of merchandise value, forecast to be ordered through online retailers such as Littlewoods, ASOS, BooHoo and MissGuided, over the next five years.
Launched at the end of 2013, Parcel Connect is a service that allows online shoppers and small businesses to send, collect and return parcels via local Payzone branded convenience stores nationwide.
The new deal will see Scurri providing barcode-labelling technology to over 15,000 customers of the Fastway Couriers group. In addition, Scurri will provide technical support and development services for the business including the innovative Parcel Connect Platform.
CEO of Parcel Connect and representative of the Fastway Couriers Group, Danny Hughes said, "Our most recent challenge has been capitalizing on opportunities that improve our customer’s delivery experience by executing developments on time or ahead of schedule. Being able to action ideas in a lean-viable way, with confidence in our ability to adjust quickly, has paid dividends in our progress over the last 6 months.
"Partnering with Scurri has been a fundamental part of this. Both companies share similar philosophies and ambitions. For Scurri, it’s about making it simple, and for Parcel Connect, it’s about making it personal; two values that define the way we work and the direction we’re heading."
