Winner of Young Innovator Award announced

The winner of the Young Innovator Award was announced yesterday by EU Agriculture & Rural Development Commissioner, Phil Hogan.

Ian Bolger from Borris, Co. Carlow was the winning Young Innovator for “Safe Attach”, a safety warning system for front loader attachments on tractors. Ian was presented with the Young Innovator Travel Bursary to attend Agritechnica 2015 in Hanover, Germany.

The Young Innovator Award is run in association with Enterprise Ireland, Irish Farmers Journal and National Ploughing Association at the Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska, Co. Laois.
