It was announced today that JLL has launched a new national healthcare business line based out of its ever expanding new Dublin headquarters.

With a focus on the primary, hospital, nursing home and retirement housing sectors, the company aims to combine its respected and comprehensive real estate service offering and brand in tandem with their extensive Irish and UK industry knowledge.

This comes after the success of its acquisition of Guardian Property Asset Management and the creation of the JLL Residential brand.

A new dedicated Healthcare division will be headed up by Gary Watson who is re-locating from JLL’s London office, where he spent the last 6 years as Consultant Director in its UK National Healthcare team.

Having spent almost 10 years client side in Ireland, most laterally as managing Director of Barchester Healthcare Ireland, Watson believes the timing is opportune as both domestic and international investors seek to capitalise on factors that are creating a more institutional and mature market in Ireland.

CEO of JLL Ireland, John Moran said, "We are delighted to welcome a respected industry specialist such as Gary into the ranks of JLL Ireland. His knowledge and industry expertise serve to complement JLL’s ambitious growth plans to become a full 360 degree service advisor in an area that is of strategic importance to Ireland’s economy. We look forward to capitalising on the many opportunities across the entire health economy and to delivering innovative and in-depth advice to our clients."
