Irish technology company, Codec-dss, has today announced the creation of 50 jobs with recruitment beginning immediately at its new Galway office. The company is seeking to recruit talented programmers, consultants, sales and administration staff.

Codec-dss has been in business for more than 30 years and has offices in Dublin, Cork, Belfast, Galway, Cologne, Warsaw and London. It employs 180 staff and has an annual turnover of €20 million.

The jobs announcement and the award follows dramatic growth at the company in the last year. Codec-dss has also been announced as Microsoft’s Country Partner of the Year for 2017 today. Codec-dss has beaten off competition from many other software companies to win this coveted award. The award recognises outstanding levels of excellence in innovation, expertise and customer satisfaction. This is the company’s second Microsoft Country Partner of the Year Award, having previously won in 2014.

Speaking on the announcement of the award, Codec-dss Microsoft Practice Commercial Director, John Roddy said, "Our team here at Codec-dss are absolutely thrilled that we have won the award. It has taken a huge amount of determination, hard work and talent to win this award. The Microsoft practice at Codec-dss started in 2010 with two people, and it has since grown to a team of more than 90. We want to continue this growth into the future."
