Supervalu triumph at Great Taste Awards 2015

Supervalu were celebrating this week after winning 41 awards at the Great Taste Awards 2015.

The Great Taste Awards are the largest blind taste food awards with over 400 judges taking part in this year’s competition.

Judged by a panel of chef’s, food critics and farmers, the awards are widely acknowledged to be the most respected food accreditation scheme for artisan and speciality food producers.
 
The SuperValu Wheaten Soda Loaf produced by Genesis Crafty was awarded an impressive three stars; the highest ranked own brand product by an Irish retailer.

Other winners included the SuperValu Signature Tastes Gubeen Cheese from the Traditional Cheese Company, SuperValu Signature Tastes Striploin Steak by Kepak Ltd and SuperValu Organic Honey from Healy’s Honey.
