A new report by global recruitment, outsourcing and staffing agency, Cpl, has found continued growth in business sectors which are largely representative of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Ireland.

IT & Telecoms, as a sector, has grown its number of jobs postings by 16% since the same quarter of last year.  Science, Engineering & Supply Chain as a sector had a 9% growth in the same period. IT & Telecoms, as a sector, has grown its number of jobs postings by 16% since the same quarter of last year.  Science, Engineering & Supply Chain as a sector had a 9% growth in the same period.

Jobs postings growth for this quarter fell slightly, a generally cyclical feature since the final quarter tends to be the peak of the year.   However, the trend is for continued jobs growth with the Accountancy, Finance & Banking sector standing at nearly a third above the average for 2016.

Speaking this week, Client Services Director at Cpl Recruitment, Siobhan O’Shea said, "We’ve nearly reached full employment, and yet growth continues at the higher end of the jobs postings spectrum.  Certainly, growth has stabilized in recent years, but our data reflects a very vibrant employment market in FDI sectors."
