It was announced today that Dublin is to host a new Google for Entrepreneurs Tech Hub Network.

This initiative aims to increase investment and growth opportunities, and to help developers and entrepreneurs launch new ideas and turn them into thriving companies.

The initiative was made possible due to a partnership between Google Tech Hub and Dogpatch Labs.

CEO of IDA Ireland, Martin Shanahan says, "Google is now one of the most vibrant and largest companies in Dublin, and apart from its large employment footprint, the company is making a substantial contribution in additional ways.

"The presence of multinationals in Ireland has a very positive economic impact through employment, the purchase of Irish goods and services and the transfer of skills. Google’s latest initiative, via the Tech Hub network supporting indigenous businesses, is yet another illustration of this contribution."
