Google is today inviting high potential start-ups to apply for its Autumn Adopt A Startup programme as it opens applications from today.

The programme offers an opportunity for ambitious entrepreneurs to receive hands on mentoring from experienced Google employees over a 12 week period and attend an exclusive programme of lectures and workshops at the company’s Dublin Headquarters.

Now in its third year, Google’s Adopt A Start Up has to date helped over 100 startups. This includes Jobbio, The Happy Pear, CoderDojo as well as NewsWhip, FoodCloud, Beats Medical, Logo Grab and Arklu. Dublin company LogoGrab, whose technology is used to identify brands imagery in images and video took home the crown in the 2017 Spring Adopt A Start Up following a dragons den style final held in Google’s EMEA headquarters in Dublin.

With just 30 places up for grabs, companies are being urged to get their applications in early, before the closing date of 9th August.  The successful companies chosen to participate in the Autumn Adopt A Start Up will be announced at the programme launch on the 31st of August.

At the end of the 12 weeks, participating companies will make a pitch to a panel of senior executives and industry experts, with the winning company receiving €10,000 of AdWords credit and eligibility for the Google Cloud Platform for Startups program which comes with $100,000 of Google Cloud credit.

Seven runners-up will also be eligible for the program, along with  $20,000 Google Cloud Credits while one company will also win 6 months free hot desking in DogPatch Labs, Google For Entrepreneurs Tech Hub partner.

Director at Google, Paddy Flynn said, "We’re excited to bring new companies onto our programme and the types of startups we’re looking for, and the ones who will benefit the most from this programme, are those that are in business for more than one year, currently generating revenue  and with a strategy in place for acquiring new customers.”
