The fifth annual Planet Woman Academy is taking place today live from 8am-5.30pm at the RDS Concert Hall.
Hosted by Norah Casey, the Planet Woman Academy event hears the country’s most inspirational women share their personal stories of growth and success.
For the first time, it will hear from three accomplished men in business on the part they play in “He for She”.
With a theme of Real Stories, Real Women, today’s event has already seen Tánaiste Frances Fitzgerald take to the stage, alongside PayPal’s VP, Louise Phelan and Communicorp’s Chairperson, Lucy Gaffney to speak about their roles as leaders in their sectors.
Other speakers will include Enterprise Ireland’s and O’Donovan Waste’s respective CEOs, Julie Sinnamon and Jacqueline O’Donovan and RTÉ’s Director of Global Marketing, Michelle Spillane on just what is required to succeed.
Speaking today, Tánaiste Frances Fitzgerald said, "Their perspective, their experience, their insight - women bring something different and it isn’t good enough that where decisions are made or where we talk about our society, that there are only male voices."
